My new book put together during quarantine:  Playboy,  Mad Men, and Me--And Other Stories.

When I strictly quarantined during three months, it was helpful to do some creative projects to get my mind off these trying times.  I put together a book of  essays  about important experiences in my life, including when I worked as a public relations writer at Playboy early in my career, before becoming a professor, and when I volunteered to be a civil rights worker for Martin Luther King's organization in Alabama in the year of Selma. Writing about being a volunteer reminded me that after the pandemic was over--or even now--I could still find ways to help other people.
